Stash (short for Stanislaw) Wyslouch (pronounced Why Slouch) - Bluegrass tones meet Heavy Metal roots

Polish‑Colombian guitarist Stash Wyslouch is hailed as one of bluegrass’s most powerful genre‑bending pioneers—an avant‑garde firebrand whose “sonic kaleidoscope of weirdness and wonder” mixes thrash metal, old‑time, jazz, and classic bluegrass into wildly original, jaw‑dropping music that somehow feels both delightfully zany and deeply soulful.

Stash currently tours with his bluegrass/metal duo Mattie & Debbie whose debut album “Satan's Junction” will be released April 10, 2026. Mattie & Debbie is comprised of Stash Wyslouch (guitar/vox) & Sean Trischka (drums/vox) and features original and traditional material.

Stash also plays regularly as a solo performer. (Watch a solo set here.)

Stash has played and recorded with Bruce Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, The Jacob Jolliff Band and The Deadly Gentlemen and shared the stage with the likes of Bryan Sutton, Billy Strings, Julian Lage, David Grisman and Peter Rowan.

“Stash and his band have really broken musical boundaries by doing things that just don't seem possible on acoustic instruments.”
